Why Stephanie loves Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a sport that comes with a never ending supply of benefits, chances and positive experiences. I love taekwondo because throughout the 10 years that I have been training, I have developed into a stronger (mentally and physically), fitter and more confident person. I believe that it has shaped me as the individual that I am today.
When training in class, I feel like a completely different person. From sitting down at school all day to be able to do boxing combinations, kicks and patterns while learning new essential skills in a positive environment, all at the same time is one of the reasons why I love taekwondo. It is motivating, keeps me moving and brings about a positive mindset.
However, I also love the social aspect of taekwondo. Particularly as a child, I developed the necessary skills to be able to socialise with others, and I was able to form so many friendships with my peers as well as the instructors who guided me. Now being older and working at Hall’s, I’ve been able to develop even more friendships with the younger kids and the families too.
Hall’s Taekwondo is now like a second home for me. I’ve grown up at the Tullamarine club and been guided by all the positive role models there. Still to this day, I am encouraged and pushed to reach my full potential in everything I do.
