Benefits & Black Belts
Underneath its practical self defence skills, taekwondo has a deep ethical foundation in values and character traits of courtesy, respect, integrity, perseverance, self-control, peace, justice and your own ‘indomitable spirit’. The advantages of practising taekwondo with Hall’s will flow into all areas of your life.
Black Belt and Beyond
The Power of Self-Improvement
Like other marital arts, taekwondo grades participants according to experience and skill, from coloured belts for new students through to black belts for juniors and seniors. Black belts have eight gradations called dans (or degrees), with 1st Dan the lowest and 8th Dan the highest. Working towards your black belt isn’t just about progressing through the ranks. There are countless benefits along the way.
