TERMS & CONDITIONS

Membership Terms & Conditions

It’s a condition of enrolment that members are aware of and agree to abide by the Hall’s Taekwondo terms and conditions. We also expect Junior students, and their parents on their behalf, to read and understand these terms and conditions.

LIABILITY

All members and their guests use Hall’s Taekwondo facilities and Home Based Training programs at their own risk. Hall’s Taekwondo cannot accept responsibility for damage or injury caused through use of any facility or Home Based Training location. Furthermore, Hall’s Taekwondo is not responsible for any lost or stolen items, or damage to property or vehicles.

Damage to Hall’s Taekwondo property must be paid for by any member who wilfully or negligently causes such damage. Members are responsible for damage caused by their guests or children.

ON-LINE SECURITY

Our site may provide you with the ability to use usernames, passwords or other codes or devices to gain access to restricted portions of our site. The content contained in such restricted areas is protected intellectual property.

Minors should always ask their parents or guardians for permission before providing any contact information to anyone online. We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children’s online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children’s access to the Internet.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

All membership fees must be paid in full as agreed. Our staff are trained to explain to you the terms and conditions of our memberships, to ensure that you make an informed decision when joining Hall’s Taekwondo for your training needs. Membership fees are calculated over a 12-month period irrespective of holidays.

Hall’s Taekwondo offers two membership types — a Term Membership or a fortnightly Direct Debit Membership. Respectfully, practising members must be financial members.

CENTRE MEMBERSHIPS: Term

Term memberships are available at discounted rates for either 6, 12 or 30 months. To qualify for the discount, new members must pay in full at the start of their membership period. When a Term Membership is renewed, discounts apply only when payment is made within 14 days of the renewal date. Family discounts do not apply to already discounted term memberships. There are no refunds for term memberships.

CENTRE MEMBERSHIPS: Direct Debit

Direct Debit fortnightly memberships are calculated over a 12-month period irrespective of Centre closures. This membership type is pay-as-you-go and ongoing for a 12-month period. The only variation students can choose is a slightly higher priced 11-month option covering membership payments over 11-months not 12-months to avoid being debited during the four week Christmas/New Year holiday program period.

Payments are made via direct debit to your credit card, cheque or savings account. Changes to direct debit memberships can be made by you with at least 5 business days’ notice by filling out a Customer Request Form. This can be requested at reception or emailing us at Head Office: info@hallstaekwondo.com.au

Should a membership reject and incur a bank fee, that fee will be added to the member’s rejection amount.

Hall’s Taekwondo reserves the right to change direct debit payment providers with 14 days’ notice in the interests of adhering to the highest level of Australian Standards.

ONLINE MEMBERSHIPS: Virtual Intro

Your online subscription will start with a Virtual Intro for a fixed period of seven (7) days.

Virtual Intros are only available to new users and are at our sole discretion, and if you attempt to sign up for an additional Virtual Intro you will be immediately charged with the standard Fortnightly subscription fee.

We reserve the right to revoke your Virtual Intro at any time.

Unless you Opt Out before the end of the Virtual Intro period, your Intro will expire and you will be charged the Fortnightly Fee. To Opt Out please email info@hallstaekwondo.com.au from member's login email address, with online member's name and 'opt out' in the subject line.

Any unused portion of the Intro period will be forfeited upon purchase of a Fortnightly Membership.

ONLINE MEMBERSHIPS: Virtual Membership

Online memberships can be purchased directly from the Website and are managed and billed by us.

The online membership fee is recurring and will apply regardless of how much or how often you access or use your membership.

All Website purchases are processed securely via our third party payment gateway providers (eWay). You must refer to their terms and conditions for additional information.

All transactions are handled over SSL and are PCI-Compliant. We do not store your credit card details which will be stored by our third party payment gateway providers. They are encrypted and we cannot see them.

Payment must be made at the time of purchase and before you have access to your training.

Online memberships will be auto-renewed on the first day of your next billing period unless you expressly indicate to us you do not wish to renew.

You must notify us of any change to method of payment (credit card details).

We will assume your Payment Method is correct and will continue to bill Membership Fees and charges relating to your Membership. The recurring payment is not a contract. Members can cancel the recurring payment, at least 3 days before the date when their next payment is due.

Centre Discounts

Family discounts for immediate family members only of 5% per member apply to term and direct debit memberships paid by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card (except American Express).

Family discounts apply to membership fees and gradings only. Family discounts do not apply to equipment costs or events.

Membership Suspension

Members can suspend (freeze) their Centre Membership for a minimum of 14 days, as long as their fee payments are up-to-date. Changes to direct debit memberships can be made by you with at least 5 business days’ notice by filling out a Customer Request Form. An administration fee of $5 per fortnight or $10 per month applies to suspended memberships, debited via an existing nominated account or paid upfront for term memberships.

Suspensions do not apply to online virtual memberships.

There is no need to suspend over the Christmas holiday period as our annual closure period has already been taken into account. Class payments are spread out evenly over a 12-month period. Please advise reception if you are going away for an extended period of time around Christmas and the time period beyond four weeks will be adjusted.

Membership start or renewal times are never backdated.

The Grading Syllabus explains how suspension may affect gradings.

If you have a query or concern about membership suspensions, contact the Membership Coordinator at Head Office on (03) 9330 0032 or info@hallstaekwondo.com.au

Membership Cancellation

Members can cancel their membership with at least 5 business days’ notice to ensure good communication to Instructors and Membership Co-Ordinator. To cancel a Centre Membership, fill out a Customer Request Form at reception or contact Head Office info@hallstaekwondo.com.au for assistance. Membership fees must be paid in full to the effective date of cancellation. Members are welcome to keep training until the effective date of cancellation.

Online members can cancel their fortnightly recurring membership by sending an email to info@hallstaekwondo.com.au from their login email address with their name and 'please cancel' in the subject line.

Rejoin Fee

There is no joining fee for new members but Hall’s Taekwondo has a $150 rejoin fee for existing Centre Members who choose to cancel and rejoin rather than suspend their membership during a break.
